Manage security alerts and incidents

Investigate & Respond to Alerts: After identifying possible threats from incoming alerts and incidents, quickly take steps to contain the issue and learn more about it by gathering data with Microsoft Defender for Cloud.

Configure Settings for Notifications: Determine how you want your team members to be notified when particular events occur within your system; this could include email notifications and text messages depending on who needs to always be informed first thing.

Develop Policies & Processes for Responding Quickly: To ensure any issues that arise can be addressed in a timely manner, develop pre-defined policies regarding how incidents should be handled when they are discovered using various features offered by Microsoft Defender for Cloud through Microsoft 365 including query processing rules enforcement policies etc  to mitigate any risks posed due to the threat​ ​​​ ​​ ​

Establish Escalation Procedures : Establish clear tracking processes so alerts or incidents can be monitored over time while also designating clear escalation procedures allowing teams know who responds in certain cases as well as when other parties need to become involved – taking priorities into consideration all while enabling ongoing communication between teams during investigations.
